Oftentimes, we have difficulty articulating our feelings and needs, particularly when we are in a vulnerable emotional state. We can use these cards to create a safe space to talk about sensitive topics. 

When two people lay these cards out together, doorways open for vulnerable topics to be discussed.  And when a person is able to talk about these things with their partner intimacy between them increases.

Using the Feelings Cards together as a couple can help you identify projections one places upon a partner in a more gentle and organic way. It's not unusual for one partner to say, "You don't feel that way!" and the other partner to say, "Yes, I do." 

Laying the cards out on the table is a way to give each other permission to talk about that card. It allows topics to surface in a non-threatening, natural way.

Using the Feelings deck along with the Needs deck creates empathy.  You get to see what your partner is feeling and what your partner needs.

The cards your partner puts down may surprise you. The cards you put down may surprise your partner. This helps to create a shared reality -- getting to see from a partner's perspective -- which is essential to intimacy in a  relationship.

This deck comes with a Z-fold guide with some suggested ways to use the deck.

We have short youtube videos about using the deck. Links are provided with your purchase and on our website. 

We have a free monthly virtual training session about the decks. You can attend the session with questions, feedback, successful strategies, etc.

How much time required depends upon how much talking the couple does while looking through the decks. 

It might take a couple 30 - 45 minutes to go through both decks the first time. 

On subsequent uses, the couple may go faster or slower depending upon their conversations about the cards.

Results vary with users. 

Typically, couples start to see results as they are spreading out the cards in their first session as conversations begin.

No, these decks are not oracle cards.

Feelings Deck

To increase self-awareness and better communicate, we need to become aware of our feelings and be able to name them. These cards help you to

Needs & Desires Deck

To recognize and acknowledge our needs and desires, we need to recognize and name them in a non-judgmental way. These cards help you to:

• Accept your needs so that you can find ways to meet, release, or transform them
• Identify how you want to be treated and learn to communicate your needs and desires in a direct and clear way
• Enjoy your daily life more as core needs are met
